Categories
You may enter your film in either the feature or short category:
Narrative of Documentary Feature: Anything between 40 and 180 minutes is fair game. We mean it -- any country, any genre, any story. Bring it on!
Narrative or Documentary Short: Short films make up an essential part of our festival, and we will gladly consider every kind of short film imaginable.
Deadlines
The call for entries is now open, and we encourage you to submit your film! Many of us involved with the festival are filmmakers ourselves, and having gone through the festival submission process elsewhere, we know how confusing it can be. So first off, always feel free to contact us with any questions.
We strive to make this process as simple as possible for you, and you'll see we've tried to keep our submission fees as low as possible (after all, we're a not-for-profit entity). The cheapest way to submit your film is to do it quickly -- the submission fee increases the later you submit your film to ensure that we do not receive all the films on the last day. Specifically, the submission fees are:

• If accepted, exhibition copies are due no later than May 28, 2010.
• All accepted applicants will be notified of the Festival's decision on or around April 23, 2010.
General Rules
Entering Guidelines:
• All films must be in English or subtitled in English.
• Tapes and publicity materials will not be returned.
• Films must have been completed after January 1, 2008.
• All entries must be accompanied by the appropriate entry fee.
• The Lighthouse International Film Festival is not responsible for dvds/cassettes lost or damaged in transit.
Competitions and Awards
A panel of jurists comprised of filmmakers and professionals in the various fields of cinema will award the Festival's Best Feature, Best Documentary and Best Short (Narrative or Doc).
